At Melanin Markets (MM), based in Manchester, our mission is to elevate Black-owned businesses and redefine the narrative of Black entrepreneurship.
Established to address the underrepresentation and lack of inclusivity in the business sector, MM has orchestrated over 12 successful building takeovers and city pop-ups across the North West. Transforming prestigious venues like Royal Exchange Theatre, Aviva Studios, and HOME Mcr, we've created vibrant showcases of Black excellence.
In collaboration with respected partners including Nike, JD, Manchester University, and local brands, our events have welcomed over 25,000 visitors and highlighted the offerings of more than 600 Black-owned businesses.
Expanding into festivals, workshops, and networking events, MM continues to innovate and serve our community in dynamic ways.
